Applications Invited for Student Grants from Endowment Honoring Clinton School Dean Emeritus

LITTLE ROCK (Tuesday Feb. 10, 2026) — Students from across the University of Arkansas System are invited to submit applications for mini-grants awarded through an endowment honoring James L. “Skip” Rutherford III upon his retirement as dean of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service in 2021. C. Lowry Barnes, M.D., Selected as Next Chancellor at UAMS

LITTLE ROCK (Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026) — The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas today approved the selection of C. Lowry Barnes, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as the next chancellor of the state’s only academic health sciences center. UA Trustees Approve Corder as New Director at Criminal Justice Institute

LITTLE ROCK (Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026) — The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas today approved UA System President Jay B. Silveria’s recommendation to name Alicia D. Corder as the new director of the Criminal Justice Institute (CJI).
